Training programs under the Teacher Development directorate are designed to provide in-service educators with the information they need to better their knowledge, abilities, and practice in the face of an ever-changing education environment. As a result, training programs in this directorate have been approved by the South African Council for Educators (SACE) and align with the council’s Continuing Professional Teacher Development (CPTD) system. Within the Teacher Development Directorate, the ICT support and special programs subdivision offer programs aimed at assisting teachers in efficiently integrating ICTs with their subject content to improve the teaching and learning process and equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to prepare their learners for life after school in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
